Sunny est arrivée dans ma vie par le plus grand des hasards. C’était en octobre 2007, son ancienne propriétaire voulait s’en séparer et lui trouver une bonne place. La jument avait été débourrée à 3 ans puis vendue à cette dame. Cette dernière avait principalement fait de la balade et la jument avait à l’époque 10 ans. Me concernant, je montais principalement les chevaux des autres et n’avais pas encore mon propre cheval. Ma maman m’a proposé d’aller la voir et l’aventure commença…

Le travail avec Sunny a très bien commencé. C’est une jument qui a montré directement beaucoup de volonté, d’aisance et d’application dans le travail. Elle ne connaissait pas le travail au sol mais elle a rapidement progressé. De part sa sensibilité dans la bouche, aux jambes et au poids du corps, j’ai pu rapidement débuter la monte en liberté. Nous avons également progressé en équitation western grâce aux cours que nous prenions et avons passé notre brevet western en 2008.

La vie n’a pas toujours été sympa avec Sunny. Durant les premières années qui ont suivi son acquisition, j’ai été contrainte à la laisser en convalescence plusieurs fois. Elle a finalement eu de la chance dans son malheur puisqu’après le dernier épisode, une tendinite et un repos d’un an, Sunny était tirée d’affaire et, cette fois, en pleine forme pour de nouvelles aventures !
